Finally fixed my laptop. So I finally have enough time and efficiency to blog as usual.

What has passed so far.. well nothing… nothing much. Except for my birthday =]
Went to the movies to watch Precious with the homies Mike and Danielle

Im not going to go into my thoughts on Precious here because Mike thinks Im being “racially conscious”… whatever the fuck that means but Im mad at myself for liking such a disgusting film. Im mad I fed into the entire hype behind the movie, thanks to Oprah and Tyler Perry. I always disliked Oprah but since Perry cosigned on it too I thought it would be as influential and the book ‘Push’ by Sapphire (in which the movie was based on) was. But it wasnt. Heres the post that truly enlightened me and totally changed my opinion on the movie Hit Me Back (Blogspot)

In other news…
Im really trying to get used to my new Nikon D40. Tryna get the hang of the big ‘ol thing but its been pretty sweet so far.

My agenda is looking pretty weak right now though I must admit. School, school, school and more school. I was supposed to hit up my friends Johnny bday bash yesterday but couldnt make it. And Im supposed to be looking forward to the 2nd edition of Callenders #fuckyourparty at Moomia Lounge but I havent an ID =[

The RZA

Seriously this was like a dream come fucking true.

The RZA is a fucking genius. The mastermind behind the entire WuTang Clan and me, a huge fan of the Wu-Tang clan had the chance to meet him in person and sign my books? Never in a million years did I think I would ever meet such a man of pure genius.

I read (via twitter) that The Rza was going to be signing his new book The Tao of Wu at the Barnes and Nobles in Union Square. I absolutely had to be there. I had read his manual, The Wu-Tang Manual, over and over again and still do. I loooove the Rza, hes one of my favorite musicians of all time.

When I turned my head and realized he was in the room, my eyes actually began to tear. I’m such a pussy for that but his presence alone was overwhelming for me.

He dropped some knowledge on us prior to talking to us about the new book itself. I totally recorded the whole thing and will have it posted when I get my laptop back up and running.

I was with my homey Danielle who actually was screaming and in awe herself. Oh, the effect The Rza-recta has on our young minds.

He signed both my Wu Tang Manual and the copy of his new book The Tao of Wu. I was so hype reading what he wrote. “Nicole, May light shine thru to ya soul” – The RZA. He actually wrote a rhyme in my book… ahhhh!

Im so happy that I got to see him and actually converse with him up close and personal. Now to see the entire clan in concert. Any one know of any possible concerts coming up. Fill me the fuck in.
